I have been asking - what is BP doing 24/7 because for the past two weeks it looks like they aren't do ANYTHING to stop this and are counting on the relief wells -- IN AUGUST. Reading about this man's suicide, and then reading about BP's refusal to look at all options, is beyond maddening. And no, I don't blame Obama or the federal government in the least. This is BP's fault - and there shouldn't be any expenses that company incurs OUTSIDE of stopping this catastrophe.
The federal government has been the public's punching bag for decades - at it's peak when head cheerleader Ronnie Reagan made it clear that government is the problem and taxes - required to run the government - are a bad, bad thing. Railing against government involvement and taxes for so long it's hard to take any of them seriously now that they are blaming Obama. You get what you pay for.
Unfortunately, it's too late for the fisherman who's frustration likely led to his suicide. When the oil starts washing up on my beaches of North Carolina, I might want to use a gun for the first time in my life. Nothing self-inflicted I assure you. I would use it to keep the board of directors and every other BP employee working around the clock until they put a stop to this. There is an answer - they just haven't found it yet.
